Prostitutes
Stopping by a 24-hour Bible-reading marathon,
I had to leave when the verses from Proverbs
begain railing against prostitutes.

I like prostitutes. I am one-a math teacher.
Do not judge us. Not everyone can control the
course of their lives. Some become desperate.

Who knows, one evening you might see a poor,
bald math teacher by the boulevard in high boots
and a short skirt trying to earn a decent living
