I know what men are |
I know what men are.
Men drink and are routinely unfaithful,
Can't see beyond the end of their dicks,
Have faces like hams or wrinkled cardboard
And are bold, sweaty and frightening -
I know what men are.
Men drive fast cars,
Like motorbikes and loose women,
Will kill for the sake of their pride,
Talk bullshit,
Fart, belch and bellyache.
I know what men are.
Men are insane and out of control,
Vicious, two-faced,
Complete brutes,
Vainly vainglorious.
No!
I know what men are.
Men are not like this.
Men don't go down to the pub for a mindless drink,
Can even (sometimes) apparently think!
Men cuddle babies and can stand up for themselves in fights
With their wives - and sometimes win.
Men are prepared to challenge
Preconceptions
Misconceptions
Deceptions
And Will Even Do What Is Right.
Men will
Go the extra mile
(And not always on a motorbike),
Men love to love
And love to be loved.
Men
Like cuddles and apparently even have loving, faithful sex.
Men like emotions.
They like the crisp leaves of autumn,
The sound of the wind,
The billowing of a sail,
The sight of clouds trailing across a distant sky.
They like
Cats
Machines
Stars
Women
Love
Mountains and mountain breezes.
Men even like staying at home.
Men are not monsters!
I know what men are!
Men like to be involved with their children,
Like going for walks,
Singing,
Picking their noses,
Changing nappies (but not at the same time),
Playing rude jokes.
They like passion and commitment,
Fun,
Babies.
They know how to tell stories,
Hold onto dreams.
And how to comfort when things go wrong.
I know what men are!
Men are brilliant!
