i once had a mother who was so pretty

her smile surely brightens up my day

and while i was still a baby

her hugs, and kisses wipe my tears away

in my dreams of dreams, i always see you

and when the wind blows, i feel you

oh mama, how i miss you so

and how i wish you never had to go

i once had a mother, who loved me tenderly

she is now in heaven, and she is guiding my way

oh how i love my mama so dearly

please jesus, send my love to heaven from me...
