Betrayed
It was when, living like a Hermit

Ruminating over life

In a peaceful state of mind

In love and harmony with his Lord

Oblivious to miseries caused by human love

By a soft knock at the door

Wakes up Faz….

Knowing not what's in store

Dreary-eyed Faz opens the door

"Do you have some sugar,"

Smiling stands, Amone, the new neighbour

From a cup of sugar did a friendship bloom

Little did Faz know it would prove his doom

Conscious of something coming

Faz lets a window in his heart open

Seizing the opportunity, Amone comes dancing right in

Summer turns into winter bringing in Desert Rains

The heart of a Hermit rejoices in winds of change

Amone holds his hands with eyes alight

Faz looks in her eyes with shock and delight

Filled with promises, her words were abundant

Faz loved her with reckless abandon

Such was his love, when in pain Amone lay

Faz ignored even the call to pray

Not unaware that someday he will have to pay

But nursing her back to health

He found all his wealth

Months turned into years, his heart grew fonder

With every little promise, his love became stronger

He found in her, enough to fill the day with joy

More often than not, she was playfully coy

Unforeseen halt in Amone's calls

Warns Faz of time a misfortune befalls

Brief notes he then began to receive

Whispering aloud a story to deceive

"My Kindred Souls have chosen for me,"

"To go against their wish, it cannot be."

"My love for you will never fade,"

"My heart is yours and I would be too, had they not forbade."

"To go against will make them grieve and perish,"

"Oh my ailing Father and unwell Mother's wish!"

A Hermit cannot be a cause of misery

To remain calm was the call of wisery

Deep inside he was in pain and doleful

On the outside he was chipper and cheerful

Woebegone he walked alone on a fateful day

Suddenly heard sounds of laughter happy & gay

Ceremonial chants, dancing bells, music's allure

Temptation took him right to the door

Amidst the chittering and chirping crowd

Stood with her new amour, bejewelled bride, Amone, So Proud!

Her eyes alight in the same fashion

As once they shone with Fazza's passion

His heart shattered with a thunderous sound which none could hear

The pain was such profound that he could not bear

Quietly he turned and walked away

His distressed mind recalling excuses she used to portray

Deep in anguish on his bed he lay

Filled with remorse why his Lord he did not obey

Leaving aside countless affluent & willing men

O why a Hermit's heart she chose to rip open

Oft a sigh prevails…

"O Amone, why you did not think

Of your ailing father and unwell mother

Before knocking at my door for a cup of sugar!"

If These Walls Could Talk
Feelings of being trapped, scared and all alone are difficult to understand, let alone try to share
Lost
A cry for help shouldn't mean telling them what they did wrong
And like a dying lady
And like a dying lady, lean and pale, Who totters forth, wrapp'd in a gauzy veil, Out of her chamber, led by the insane And feeble wanderings of her fading brain, The moon arose up in the murky East, A white and shapeless mass.
She Won't Cry
We all suffer our share of pain. Some, though, don't know how to rid themselves of the pain. And some just need help.
Alone
Loneliness has absolutely nothing to do with other people.

Wow. Amone sounds like a real psychopath. I would be interested to hear your story.
