For my Mother
My mother, the woman who gave me birth, the one who showed me that great love and great achievements involve great risks is the person I'm honoring today. She showed me how to have respect for myself, respect for others and to take responsibility for all my actions. I really didn't understand it back then, but now that I'm older, I understand. She always gave more of herself than most people would expect and she did so cheerfully. She always made a way for us to have things even if that meant a few bills didn't get paid until the next week. My mother is everything that I would like to be in the future. She's a strong, beautiful, black woman of God. She is my hero for the fact that if she wasn't there for me in some past circumstances, I don't know how I would have made it. My mother has taught us some very valuable lessons in life. I've tried to listen to them all, but there's only one that really stuck in my head and I'll always cherish and it was...."When you say I love you to someone, mean. " So today mama from your children, we would like to say Happy Mothers Day and we love you....and of course we mean it.
