The shadow of a love....

The shadow of a lost love is looming
Tears and pain are consuming
A love that was once real and true
The love that i once felt for you
The phantom of that love is lurking
The reaper of love is smirking
The end of our love has passed
A love that we thought would last

It was lost on that Saturday morn
Sometime between dusk and dawn
I saw you leave through that door
And i know now that i am sure
That door belonged to another
The door that led to your lover
My heart just sank and gave in
It couldn't believe this sin
But now i have caught you at it
The one thing you'd never admit
You lied and you cheated and stole
Stole my heart from the depths of my soul

The shadow of a lost love has passed
Tears and pain are falling fast
A love that was once real and true
The love that i once felt for you
The phantom of that love has won
The reaper of love is done
The end of our love has passed
