The Kite Flier
I wish the air would carry me
Way, way up the sky
And dance around on paper strings
As if I was a kite.

You are the wind that keeps me flying
Which ever way you go
You hold my string from flying off
I’ll ride the winds and soar.

I am that kite within the clouds
I choose to be a bird
Looking down at you from here
It’s far beyond from words.

The spool it’s on its end now
You must pull and reel me in
Before I drift forever
And down away I spin.

I am the Kite Flyer
And up away I go
From currents that you take me
In your hands, the strings you hold.
