Thankfully, You Came to Me
You came to me when I needed someone . . .
You didn't ask trivial things;
You didn't care about material things.
You were interested in the person first,
Not what I was, but who I was . . .
Not my worth, but my self worth,
Not what I want, what you want, but what we can give to each other . . .
Valued assets like caring, love,
Sincerity, trust and truthfulness . . .
The necessary things for coexistence,
The basis for a relationship, and mutual happiness, beyond forever;
And every day I thank God, that you came to me when I needed someone
