Silent Whispers

This exquisitely crafted poem is about love lost, but it's also about the power of hope - that lost love can be found again.,

Silent Whispers
How can I presume anything? It is a dream
That inspires me. Could this ascend beyond
Mere troubled waters on a stagnant pond?
Silent whispers in still darkness unseen.
Tenacious prayers. An obdurate soul to redeem.
Long ago our love with passion dawned;
With thievery and destruction set. Precious bond
Violated by an evil foe, his intent to demean.
Redemption seems but vain imagination;
And yet, my soul longs for faded memories.
I call out your name across ethereal seas.
Lord of hope; of miracles, heal the deception.
You promise to repair all that was broken; to
Restore all that was taken. Into Your hands…
