Man of clay |
You are my life when I reach heaven
And you my cause for why I smile
You are the make-up of the flowers
That fills the air that runs for miles
It was you that made life special
For God made beauty out of clay
By his hands he made your smile
And made my darkness roll away
He guides us without knowing
It’s like our own Love kind of way
Like the river that flows’ water
Or the clouds that hold the rain
There’s no such thing as coincidence
When the path is all but set
Like the sun that gives us morning
And the stars that gives it rest
Just light the candle by your bedside
He’s always with you when alone
I know those eyes reflects much secrets
When looked upon within my own
Just let me see a final sunset
Just let me hold you one more time
Just let me touch you just so gently
And wipe away your tears with mine
But if and when you are awaken
With a Rose flower next to you
And hear my whispers of me calling
I’ll try to make all things new
My flaws are with me that I carry
For God has made me just the same
But my gift is what I’m born with
It’s all beneath this man of clay
