Honeymooner's Itinerary

Let’s have a baby!

He says to me, his eyes brightly shining.

The dimple on his cheek accents his grin

Like a cloud with a silver lining.

My thoughts drift back to flowers and rings,

A veil and a gown of white.

My love waiting for me at the alter,

A vision always in memory’s sight.

The tuxes and dresses, the pictures taken,

The “Bridal March” still playing in my mind,

Start to mix with the sounds of the salty waves

As I come back to the present time.

I drift back to my love with a grin on my face,

“Are we moving ahead so soon?”

With a playful slap I hug him and say,

“First, just enjoy the honeymoon!”
