Crush of the Future

Roses are red, violets are blue
These are nice and so are you.
Dreamland is here and willing to stay,
In the land of nod I go so we could play

In my heart, I’ve always known
That someday I’ll meet you, when I have grown.
I’ve been dreaming about this since I was small.
I’ve made up my mind about you once and for all.

I don’t care about a kiss or a hug
Neither do I care that your songs are on my mug.
What’s important to me is that you’ll see
That I believe meeting you is my destiny.

Many people think opposites attract
Well, I guess they’re right, so I’m taking it back
‘Cause the very first time I saw you
I thought I saw petals fall when the wind just blew.

But what am I saying? Am I crazy this time?
For the truth is, you see, you’re not yet mine!
So go ahead, enjoy, don’t be in a rush
‘Cause now you know that someday, you’ll be my crush!
