A Fathers Love
It started with love that’s what I know,
As I got older it too did grow.

As I walked beside him holding his hand,
He would show me the way, helping me understand.

Always thinking of others that’s what he would do,
If you were sad or lonely he would be there for you.

A happy man this can’t be denied,
For his life was good; it came from inside.

The joy on children’s faces as they sit upon his knee,
For what would he do next they would excitedly wait to see.

The love for his children there can be no doubt,
Not always by word but he showed it throughout.

This man was beautiful; this man was good,
To be half this man would be a blessing come true.

It’s okay to cry if you feel sad inside,
Because a man is not made of just muscle and pride.

I know one day together again we’ll be,
Taking me by the hand and flying away with me.

Will I Always Love You?
Does love ever really go away? Or does it just hide for a time, waiting for but an opportunity to make itself known again?
