Today was the day

Today was the day i made myself a man
today was the day that i took a stand
one step closer to getting out of here
no more white fence, the path all clear
promises looking good and waiting with open arms
nothing today can ever break me from my charms
i conquered all and taken my own
i finally feel free, finally feel grown
look back on yesterday is quite a task now since past is only that
future rearing its beauty and sunshine
followed by friendly chat
life here i come, I'm finally ready for you
give me your burdens any one you choose
just remember one thing and one thing only today
your not invincible, just untouched, unfrayed
tomorrow brings problems, tasks, and girth
but me?!? I'm ready! ever since the day of my birth
