Alone at School
I see you everyday at school,
And that, I think, is pretty cool.
But next year, you won't be there with me,
Because you're graduating.

I know you'll come and visit me,
I know I'll see you still.
I know I'll miss you everyday,
But you love me, and you always will.

It's not like you're going to disappear,
And I'll never see you again.
Because soon I'm moving in with you,
But I just don't know when.

It won't be for at least another year,
Because I'm only in grade ten.
But I still haven't made up my mind.
Whether it will be in grade twelve or eleven.

But for now I don't have to worry,
Because there's still half a year.
Until I'll be all alone at school,
And until you're a graduateer.

Your 13 years of school is what you make it. For some, it's a seven hour jail cell, and for others a refuge from their homes. It's a place to make friends, and meet people who will forever leave their mark in your life.
