A Time for Goodbyes

It's time to say goodbye
But its not going to be good.
We'll cry many tears,
Then we'll have a few beers.

I know your not leaving me yet.
But I cant help but feel regret.

I regret the days when we fought
I regret the hours spent distraught.

I'll miss the day in the summer sun
I'll miss the nights, and our crazy runs.

We were two little girls
attached at the hip.
and we never let it slip away.

Maybe one day we'll look back and think
About all the pink.
Pink clothes, pink walls, pink bouncy balls.

Or maybe even green.
green grass stains, green water balloons.

Maybe we'll think back and rememeber those dances
we used to make.

after graduation its all going to change.
You'll be in college.
but for me high school, just the same.
