Cross-Breeding
Welcome to the Zoo, my friends
Where things are a little out of whack
You see, someone left the gates unlocked
And the animals never looked back

They threw a mighty party
And this thing led to that
And the Numbat found a Bandicoot
And made a Bandibat

The 'Roo and the Parrot, with a nod and a wink
Made a Kangatoo
And the Dingo scored the 'Roo's best girl
And made a Dingaroo

The Cockie found a nice young Bear
And, whoops, a Koalala
And where Red-Bellied Black Bears come from
You don't have to look too far

The Mouse and his fantastic mate
Had a brood of Mouseyip young
And the Lizard and the Tassie Wolf
Made a Tassie Tiger-Tongue

And the Razor-Back and the Hippo
Created quite a fuss
'Cos there's not many Zoos that can proudly boast
A Piggypotamus

It was quite a sight when the Hairy-Nose
Drank the water, ridgy-didge
And, in five minutes flat, we had ourselves
A Wombaturrimbidgee!!
