Great Dad
We have our ups and downs,
And there are days I wish you weren?t around.
We do things that make each other mad,
And even things to make us sad.
We used to be very close,
And that is what I miss the most.
You have done so much for me,
And I guess I was to blind to see.
You have always been there,
And that is how I know you care.
From soccer to golf,
We slowly drifted off.
Starting back in High school,
Hanging out with your parents doesn?t sound very cool.
So now there is no time for Father and Daughter,
Because of that my heart is nothing but a puddle of water.
There is pain inside from the nights I have cried,
Its getting harder and harder to hide.
We both have gone our separate ways,
and I guess what I am trying to say,
I miss it always being you and me,
and I hope that you will also see,
You have always been there,
When I thought life wasn?t fair.
Even when I make you mad,
You still look at me as if you were my real Dad.
You are the greatest step Dad I could ever ask for,
and each day you prove it even more,
I could put what I want to say in many ways,
But all I am trying to say.
You not that bad ,
and Big Fella you?re a really great Dad!
