To my Grandma on her birthday

Time just seems to fly
Another year’s gone by
Was it not just yesterday
That in your arms I lay?
I remember the day we met
Don’t think I’ll ever forget
You were friendly and ecstatic
I was scared and so erratic
With patience and endearing love
You arms enveloped me like a glove
You tender heart and kind voice
Made being me an easy choice
I want to tell you that I appreciate
All the love, patience & the rapid rate
At which you seem to know me well
You are my grandma and my best pal.
