The day has come

The day has finally come,
for us to cry and cheer.
To leave these halls forever
with lots of tears.
These 9 years have gone by so fast
along with classes we thought would always last.
But now as we say good bye,
the time here has flown by.
The teachers here taught us all we could be taught
From the ABC's and 123's
to learning to be all we can be.
They have touched our hearts,
but now its time to leave,
to be taught by new teachers,
along with some preachers.
As we think back we remember all of the memories.
of classes and teachers,
of friends sitting in the bleachers.
But now as we receive our diplomas and say good bye,
Reality sets in that we are finally leaving.
We knew this day would come,
but it always seemed far away in the future.
As we walk out these doors and leave for home,
Possibly never seeing everybody again,
We'll remember the memories,
and how we'll always have them.
