Happy Birthday Mommy

On your birthday I just sat and thought
Of all the dirty looks I gave and thank- yous I forgot

Of all the times I didn?t listen
And all the trouble I still get in

And then I thought of the day I?ll leave home
When I?ll be out in the world all alone.

With no one to hold my hand
With no one to lean on when I can?t stand

But though the world is a scary thought to think of
I know that it?ll be okay, because I have your love

My wonderful mommy
Who loves me and cares for me

No gift could show how much you mean to me
No words could say how grateful I am for you to be my mommy

I know I don?t show it as much as I should
I know I don?t do as much as I could

And I may talk back more then I ought to
But it doesn?t change I?m happy to have a mommy like you

You?re like my best friend
I can talk to you about anything and know you?ll give me the truth not pretend

So mommy on your birthday
I?d like to say

Thank you for all the times I forgot
I?m sorry for saying you?re things your not

I thank god everyday for a mommy you
Cause without you for my mom I wouldn?t know what to do

Thank you mommy for putting up wit me always
I hope you have the bestest birthday
